Colleen Coffman

Colleen Coffman, a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, Maryland, graduated from Gaithersburg High School and received her undergraduate degree in marketing from the University of Maryland, College Park.  Colleen earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where she graduated cum laude

While in law school, Colleen was employed as a law clerk to a solo criminal defense practitioner and by the Montgomery County Office of the Public Defender.  Additionally, Colleen participated in the University of Maryland Carey School of Law’s Juvenile Law and Legislative Advocacy Clinic, representing the interests of juveniles in various proceedings.

Upon graduating from law school, Colleen served as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Mary Beth McCormick in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland.  Also following graduation, Colleen was selected to serve as adjunct faculty advising law students enrolled in a writing course offered by the University of Maryland Carey School of Law.

Colleen practices primarily in the areas of family law, civil and commercial litigation, and criminal defense.  Colleen is licensed to practice law in the State and Federal Courts of Maryland and she is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association.
