Donald J. Carswell Jr.

Donald J. Carswell Jr. (“DJ”), a native of Montgomery County, graduated from Sherwood High School in 2008 and received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 2012.  DJ earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2015.

During law school, DJ served as an intern for the Honorable Joseph M. Quirk of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County and for the Office of the General Counsel for the U.S. Government Publishing Office.  DJ also served as a Rule 16 Student Attorney with the Office of the Public Defender for Baltimore County where he successfully defended clients in bench trials and bail review hearings.  Additionally, he worked as a law clerk for a firm in Baltimore County specializing in personal injury, workers’ compensation, and criminal defense matters.  DJ was also heavily involved with his law school and served as University of Baltimore’s Student Liaison to the Maryland State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. 

In 2015, DJ joined EQKMRH as a law clerk and was promoted to Associate upon being admitted to the Maryland State Bar.  He is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.  DJ practices in the areas of civil litigation, criminal defense, family law, corporate law, and personal injury.
